I love to thrift shop. I used to do it a lot when my kids where little and we didn’t have a lot of money to spend. I would hunt for kids clothes, in good shape and outfitted my four kids that way. It became quite a thrill to find the good deals. Now as my kids are older, their tastes have become more refined and we have a little more money, I don’t shop like I used to.

Now when I go, I’m looking for those unique, items that can be used in homes, my home and even for clients. You’d be amazed at some of the great things I’ve found at thrift stores. I love to find brass items, interesting baskets and vintage artwork, to name a few. I love to find old books to use for styling or decorating a shelf, an old vase with a little tuft of pampas grass adds just the perfect touch to your interior design scheme. One trick I use is to hang baskets on the wall. They add the perfect amount of depth and texture to make a wall display interesting and not just the norm.

So whether you have an older home that may be in need of a remodel or a brand new construction home, vintage and thrifted items add that special, unique touch that we all are looking for.
